I get asked lots of questions when I meet with couples who are in the market to find the right celebrant.
Here's some useful information that I hope may answer your FAQs.
FIRST STEPS
Contact me to check if I am available for your chosen date.
If it's a yes from me, let's make plans to meet., There is no obligation or pressure at all, it's simply so we can all get a feel for each other and if you'd like me as your celebrant.
IF YOU CONFIRM ME AS YOUR CELEBRANT
I send you a short contract for you to sign and return.
I raise an invoice and request a 50% deposit with the balance due two weeks before your celebration.
I prepare a questionnaire for you to complete and return, giving me more information on you as a couple, how you met, what you love and admire about each other. This helps me write a personalised script that is tailored to YOU!
You send me a copies of your IDs that include a photo.
I can assist if you need help on how to apply for your marriage licence, write your own vows, share some resources on music, readings, blessings etc.
I can also include something personal in your ceremony that is important to you as a couple or your culture.
PREPARING YOUR CEREMONY
In the lead-up to and on the day of your wedding, I am available to support you/offer suggestions/ease any concerns you may have.
Based on what you have shared with me, I write and send you the script I will read on the day. You have an opportunity to review what I've written, make changes and together we fine-tune it.
I check your marriage licence and wedding documentation and bring printed copies to the ceremony.
I print your personal vows to read from on the day and any readings you choose to include.
I am available for a rehearsal a few days in advance of your ceremony.
I arrive well in advance of your ceremony to ensure the venue and location is all ready well in advance of your wedding.
